Parents

Parents are an integral part of the McDonell Area Catholic School (MACS) community. As the most important educators in children's lives, parents lay the Christian foundation for the educational partnership we incorporate into our curriculum. The partnership between MACS and our families is vital for student success and we are grateful for the valuable role parents play in our community. The MACS parent organizations are a wonderful avenue for parents to get involved by volunteering, serving, and getting to know other families.

Communication
If your contact information has changed, please notify the central office by contacting Administrative Assistant Kathy Adams at 715.723.0538 x3301. This would include address, phone, and email for child's records. You can also change your information in the Parent Portal of Infinite Campus.

Infinite Campus Parent and Student Portal

Infinite Campus App Download at iTunes or through Google Play. The school district ID for this download is GBKXLN

Infinite Campus is a portal for both parents and student. A login is handed out when a student is first enrolled. Check the portal regularly to keep students on track with assignments, announcements, lunch balances and more. Most of the parent information from the school is sent electronically. MACS news is sent at least once a week and includes upcoming events and a monthly newsletter. If you are not receiving the news or other MACS related emails, please send your name, student's name, and grade to Cathy Greenseth, Director of Communications (Email).

     SignUp - VolunteerSpot

SignUp (formally known as VolunteerSpot) is a scheduling service our school system and parent organizations utilize to organize volunteers for an event. Volunteers login with their email and then choose the date, event and duty they would like to perform. Notifications about the event and reminders will be sent through email.

We recognize that our current school families are often our biggest cheerleaders.

To thank you for referring new students and families to MACS, we will be implementing a new Referral Program for the 2018-19 school year.

The Referral Program is a tuition credit for current MACS parents or guardians who are paying tuition for an enrolled (K-12) student. The current parent/guardian refers a new student from outside of our system, who then enrolls and attends MACS.

Details to be unveiled after January 15, 2018 on our website.

    St. Andrew Novena
Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary, at midnight, in Bethlahem, i piercing cold. In that hour, vouchsafe, Oh my God! to hear my prayer and grant my desires, through the merits of Our Savior Jesus Christ and His Blessed Mother. Amen
One popular Advent devotion always begins on November 30, the Feast of Saint Andrew the Apostle. On this day, we begin the Saint Andrew Christmas Novena, also known as the Christmas Anticipation Prayer or simply the Christmas Novena. While a novena is technically a nine-day prayer (the word comes from the Latin word for nine, novem), the name is sometimes applied to any prayer that we say repeatedly over a series of days.

In this case, Catholics pray the Saint Andrew Christmas Novena prayer 15 times each day from the Feast of Saint Andrew until Christmas. The prayer is addressed to God the Father and asks Him to grant us our request in honor of the birth of His Son on Christmas. It’s an excellent prayer to pray with children, because it heightens their anticipation of Christmas, while keeping them focused on the fact that Advent is a time of preparation, and not an extension of the Christmas season.

You can pray the text of the prayer 15 times all at once, or you can spread it out throughout the day. One convenient way to pray it is to recite it five times at each meal, or five times during your morning prayers, five times during your evening prayers, and five times at supper. Be sure, when you begin the novena, to have a particular intention or request in mind, and recall it each time you say the prayer.
