College Planning Timelines for Students
Getting ready for college takes a lot of preparation and should begin early. The planning timelines below can help students follow the steps needed to prepare for their plans after McDonell Central Catholic High School.

Youth Apprenticeships

Youth Apprenticeship (YA) is a state program that integrates school-based and work-based learning to instruct students in employability and occupational skills defined by Wisconsin industries. This program allows students to get a jump start on a career!  It also allows students to receive added training in the workplace where they are already employed.

Program Requirements

  • Junior OR Senior year of high school
  • MINIMUM 450 hours of work-based learning (this includes summer hours)
  • Two semesters of related classroom instruction (Students may be required to take Distance Learning Classes to qualify)
