Witness the Difference Campaign
In a few weeks, the Class of 2021 will be turning their tassels as they celebrate a milestone in their life. As we celebrate this milestone and prepare for the 140th year of Catholic education in Chippewa Falls, we have an opportunity to reflect on the generations before us and those generations to come who, God-willing, will continue to benefit from the mission and vision of McDonell Area Catholic Schools. In order to continue to sustain and grow our Catholic schools, we humbly request your prayers and your generosity through a pledge to the Witness the Difference Capacity Campaign.
Back in November of 2016, a comprehensive listening session was completed as part of updating the McDonell Area Catholic Schools (MACS) strategic plan. In order to increase our human capacity, provide a safe and innovative learning environment, and make sure that MACS continues to be affordable to our current and future families, MACS needed a capacity campaign. Thus, the Witness the Difference Capacity Campaign was born, with a goal of raising $3,700,000. Campaign funds will be invested to provide long term support for Guardian Angel tuition scholarships ($1.5 million), teacher salary and professional development ($1.5 million), and needed facilities updates ($700,000).
Over the past three years, 76 donors have pledged $2.7 million, leaving us $1 million to raise in the final phase of the campaign. In that same time frame, MACS has achieved a 14% enrollment growth and strong student outcomes as shown by ACT scores and post-graduation placement. A Catholic education unites faith and reason, “the two wings on which the human spirit rises to contemplation of the truth.” (Pope St. John Paul II) We are proud to say that over 98% of our MACS families believe that MACS provides academic excellence and over 96% believe we provide a strong Catholic identity and Christian environment. (October 2020 survey)
With this, we ask you to invest in our mission and vision by pledging a charitable gift to the campaign, helping us raise the final $1,000,000 to reach our goal of $3,700,000. Your pledge may be paid over a period of up to five years and the pledge card may be mailed or dropped off at the MACS Central Office. Please feel free to contact either of us if you have any questions.
We are grateful for your consideration and invite you to join in virtually as we watch the Class of 2021 graduate on Friday, May 21, 2021 by visiting McDonellAreaCatholicSchools.org and heading to our live stream page.
“We give thanks to God always for all of you, remembering you in our prayers, unceasingly calling to mind your work of faith and labor and love and endurance in hope for our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Thes 1:2-3)
