Monica Laux

Monica Laux received a Bachelor of Science and Masters in special education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She also received her Masters in education counseling from the University of Phoenix.
Monica enjoys being active, watching sports, especially hockey and soccer which her children played, traveling and spending time with her children, who are both graduates of McDonell.
She was born and raised on the West Coast in the South Bay Area of California in Redondo Beach. Attended UNLV for college and has taught/school counselor in Las Vegas for 11 years at public and alternative high schools, 1 year as a school counselor in Menomonie, and 15 years teaching at Altoona Middle School before coming to teach at McDonell.
She is also a fan of the Bears and the Blackhawks. In her free time she stays active by taking walks, exploring and hiking, scrapbooking, and tinkering around her house.
