Steve Roesler B.A. in Education from U.W. Eau Claire with a major in History and Broad Field Social Studies and a minor in Latin. He has also taken 31 credits beyond his degree. Currently he teaches American History, Economics, Sociology, Dictators, American Government, and Psychology. McDonell is the only school Steve has taught at and he has been at McDonell for 40 years, beginning his teaching career as a part time teacher in January of 1975. He also began a coaching career in 1976 that included J.V. football, head track coach, J.V. basketball, and assistant and head volleyball coach. With two stints also as the Athletic Director for a total of 15 years. Steve married a McDonell teacher in 1980, Debbie, and was married for 23 years until her untimely death in 2003. He has two daughters Kari and Kathy. Kari is a health and phy. ed. teacher at McDonell and Kathy currently teaches kindergarten in Cadott. Both girls are now the Co-Head coaches of volleyball at McDonell, which is where they played their high school volleyball. He enjoys running, reading, and spending time with his five grandchildren. Steve was recognized as an honorary McDonell Central Catholic High School Alum in 2014.
